I had one of these for years and wanted the other sizes. Great bang for the buck and works perfect.
They are easy to adjust and help me do the job quickly. After trying a cheep, no name, set shipped from the UK, I found these Makitas to be quality tools. Glad I found these. You get what you pay for. These flip drill/drivers fit snugly and opperate precisely. Plenty of extra bits.
I bought an identical Ryobi-branded tool at the local big box home store, and was hoping that Makita would make a better product, but it's the same product with a different label on it. There is quite a bit of play in the socket, so the bits will wobble. I decided to keep it and deal with the wobbliness, but I'm not all that happy about it.
When I'm doing tight work in cabinets, it gets a bit challenging to use. Other than that, it's the only bit I always keep with my drill. However, there are 3 other bits in the set and I switched to one of the 3 remaining and things are fine. After 6 years, one of the bits stopped snapping back into place cleanly. The number of times I've had to start my pilot hole and then set the screw goes on and on. I've owned my set for over 6 years and have gotten more than my money's worth from the set. With this, it's so simple to start my hole, flip the bit and set the screw. The only negative that I've had with this is that it extends the length of the drill out about another 2 to 3 inches.
Makita is always a good choice for a do it yourself guy who doesn't like "one day tools."
